YOUNG AMERICAN MISS INTERNATIONAL Formal Wear (Gown) YAMI is proud to be the most affordable National Pageant in the industry! YOUR PAGEANT FEE INCLUDES YOUR CUSTOM EMBROIDERED SASH! When you register, you will choose a "Delegate Title" that will be emboidered on your sash. You will receive your Satin Embroidered Delegate Sash when your registration is paid in full. Our contestants are already having fun planning for next year's event - the planning is half the fun! These are the basic outfits you will need to compete in YAMI: FORMAL WEAR: Contestants should wear a floor length gown for all age groups. Can be a prom gown for Teen/Miss, but must be modest. Questions - send photo to Ms. Sabrina. Modeling should be slow and elegant. You should feel beautiful and confident. Sparkly jewels will finish your look! You will have a chance to practice modeling in the stage area Thursday evening before the pageant. Lifetime queens can help if you are new. Just look for their sash! RUNWAY WEAR: Fun Fashion! Be bold! Outgoing! Can be custom or off the rack -- even from online! Modeling is high energy, high fashion, to show off your outfit. Just have fun with it! Don't forget to accessorize! INTERVIEW: Dress, Business suit, Pant suit, Flashy, Demure - Let your personality decide, but remember it is an interview. Heels can match or be nude/beige. Jewelry can be fancy or subdued. PHOTOGENIC (HEADSHOT): You can hire a photographer or take a photo yourself, or even use your school/senior photo. There are many people online who will re-touch your photo for a pageant for a small fee. Please be sure your finished photo is not over-retouched or too glitz. We want your inner beauty to shine.
